Does anybody else expected Adele to drown while she was floating at sea? My heart was racing watching that scene, that overhead shot of Adele floating peacefully at the blue waters. I thought she was going to die. And that is why blue is the warmest colour. “No, oh no, she’s going to die. I knew it. Never trust a French film.” And then cut to a scene of her sleeping with mouth open. See, I only have two issues with this film: 1. (Cutting/Transition of scenes?) I don’t know the technical term for it but it is when the shifting of one scene to another. I thought some scenes needed lingering, instead they were cut. I want to point out that scene wherein Adele was crying in the streets after Emma kicked her out of the house. That needed a moment. 2. Adele’s open mouth when she’s chewing her food.
Blue Is the Warmest Colour is the most immersive almost-3 hour movie I have ever watched. It felt so raaaaw. Wonderful story telling of a woman in love.
